    • F-M Special Magnetos: Confused Yet??

    If things are not confusing enough, here is some Fairbanks Morse magneto special (this often means  that it won't fit anything else or nothing else will replace it) application information for the FMJ.. series supplied to dealers probably in the late 1940's and later for FMX.. series by kind permission from Fairbanks Morse.

    The device shown in the upper left corner is what Fairbanks Morse offered as an upgrade/retrofit for their early model Z stationary engines. These are modern serviceble magnetos.

    The FMX.. series appeared later using a similar overall design and different points. Theses are Wisconsin engine installations.
