Wico EK Magneto Type 2 Drive Stover

Here are some images from the instruction manual for the Wico EK magneto with a type 2 drive. This was used extensively by Stover. If there is no spark be sure and see that the mag is tripping properly. Weak, missing or broken springs can be a problem. If tripping properly and still nogo polish and set the breaker contacts. the clearance is a function of the drive type.  If breakers  are polished and properly set with no spark and the mag is tripping properly the condenser may be faulty. Most original devices will be defective. test for electrical leakage with an actual automotive condenser tester. If there is leakage or shorts they are easy to retrofit with an automotive device. This is described in detail in the service section.
