    • PR Magneto RX

    The Wico PR is not often seen but resembles a model EK and operates similarly. It  uses larger magnets and a heavier armature. The plug wire connects and is held fast to the  terminal by threaded phenolic knob.  The wire itself is larger, 9MM diameter in lieu of the more common 7MM.

    The moving armature is removable by sliding out a retainer clip around the breaker points tube. It may be easier to remove if you remove the ground screw that fastens to the condenser and coil primary. It is right in the way. Always check the condenser, many bad ones out there, especially where it rains and occasionally stops in the Pacific Northwest.
