MJC4A MJC6A Service Manual

Here is a factory service manual for the MJA4A and MJA6A. These appeared in the early to mid 1930's and replaced the wound armature with a stationary coil and condenser. Coils were robust and most survive in working condition. Occasionally a bad condenser will appear but almost any automotive device in the 0.18-.25 Microfarad range that will fit will work. Far less maintenance than their earlier counterparts and pack a wallop. Some early Oliver and Hart Parr tractors used them as OEM. Often wash and repack the bearings, wash and re lube the impulse, clean the contacts and off we go for the next 40 years.
